Tot School- 30.5 Months

 Bb is for Bug

We are starting the alphabet for the second time. At this point K knows her letters remarkably well. We will be focusing on the sounds each letter makes now. For the letter Bb this week I went with a bug theme, K loves it! We used a variety of printable's from Totally TotsSpell Out Loud and 2 Teaching Mommies as well as some work book pages from some Kumon books I picked up at Costco.

Here K is working on a puzzle about the life cycle of a bee. This was a favorite. She enjoyed learning about the different stages of a bee so much so that we watched videos on youtube about it.

These were her book choices for bugs. The Bugs Bugs Bugs book was a new addition to our collection. K enjoyed reading them and sharing the pictures with her baby brother (3.5months)

Do a dot pages are always a hit. K likes to display her completed work on the easel.

K enjoyed the sensory bin more than usual this week. I think it was the new bug collection she had never played with before. She enjoyed making characters with the bugs in addition to scouping, dumping and pouring the beads. Oh and the bugs are great at hide and seek :)

We did a handful of Pre School print outs this week, she did really well on them. Matching upper case and lower case letters, finding the different item, mazes and writing skills were in the mix.

Fun and Games

We enjoyed our Florida 'winter' this week by spending a lot of time out side. And of course no week would ever be complete in K's book with out a trip to see Toby (or friendly neighborhood African spur thighed tortoise).

We picked collards from the garden.

 And cooked them for dinner.

K made B is for Banana's cookies.
